Heute konnten wir Jonny gerade noch von einem 300km Zielflug abhalten- stattdessen flogen wir 204km über einen Wendepunkt in Killarney. Über 20 Piloten aus unserem 75köpfigen Feld sind angekommen. Hohe Basis und leichte Rückenwindkomponente sorgten wieder für ein unglaublich schönes Flugerlebnis über Berge und bis weit hinein ins Flachland. Morgen sollen wir weniger Wind haben, das bedeutet wohl eine geschlossene Aufgabe, Dreieck oder Zielrück. Denn am Abend wird gefeiert, es findet der berühmt-berüchtigte Red Faces Contest statt, in dem es hauptsächlich darum geht, sich mit einer möglichst lustigen Show komplett zu blamieren ;) Gestern gewann übrigens Attila, heute Jonny. Die Auswertung dürfte noch etwas dauern, denn viele Piloten sind noch auf dem Heimweg.
Today Jonny wanted to set a 300km task, but we could stop him and scale it down to a 204km dogleg passing Killarney as a turnpoint. The poor guys who landed there are still not back... I was luckier and landed with more than 20 other pilots in goal. High cloudbase and a slight tail wind let created perfect conditions for another scenic flight through mountains and far into the flatlands of Queensland. Tomorrow we might have lighter winds which means we will probably fly an out and return, since its going to be the Red Faces night party where the teams put on a funny show and completely embarrass themselves ;) Attila won yesterday, and Jonny Durand today`s task.
